Startup Documentary for Share

Work

While covering EV3's DePIN Summit across Kenya and Tanzania in summer 2025 we met the Share team. They were our local hosts for the Kenya leg of the conference and were building decentralized wireless infrastructure for underserved communities across Africa. Their mission was too compelling to ignore. What started as conference event coverage became a 40-minute startup documentary shot in 4K over 10 days across Nairobi and Mombasa with a 4-person production crew.

DOCUMENTARY

Over 600 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa have no internet access. For those who do, connectivity costs consume roughly 30% of their monthly income. Share is looking to half that by building out a next-gen wired and wireless Internet network and all-in-one platform for local network operators, giving them the tools and capital to own and scale their own networks on top of Share. This documentary follows co-founders Jose and Luis Aycart and Omar Pederzoli as they build wireless infrastructure in one of the world's most underserved markets. Since filming, Share has launched its network to tens of thousands of paying customers across East Africa, driving millions in annual recurring revenue. The team has grown to over 20 people and raised a $3M seed round from Greenfield Capital.
